RICHARD WALKER DOREY - LIFE STORY Born in December 31, 1935 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. There are four siblings in the family. In wife’s Irene knowledge he is the eldest. His journey begins joining the service as a Marine Corps, Private First Class Mortar Man, with his specialty of underwater bomb demolition, organization in Marine Barracks, U.S. Naval Base, Boston 29, and Massachusetts. Year of Service: June 5-17, 1954 first duty was in Viesques, Puerto Rico February 18 to May 5, 1955 - Viesques, Puerto Rico August 23, 1955 to July 3, 1957 – MB Com Sub Com Nelm Com Head Supt Act Naples, Italy Place of discharge Marine Barracks, U.S. Naval Base, Boston 29, Massachusetts with Honorable Discharge He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and a friend of many. He was a precious part of every person’s life. No one else can guess the love that he gave in each one of us. A mentor, follower of Jesus Christ and believer of the gospel. In his years, after his salvation he dedicated his life to a number of ministries which he taught Sunday school classes, including younger children and adults. Mr. Dorey was a member of profound ministries. He volunteered his time to visit Nursing Home Ministries, as a Certified Chaplain to share the word of GOD and GOSPEL of JESUS. And before that He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where his daughter Karen and son in-law Bob have served for almost 40 years. Bob is a minister and musical director, as well as the Director of the Seniors ministry at Liberty Baptist Church. He spent the majority of his time reading and discerning bible chapters and verses together with his wife. He was a prayer warrior, and loved his Pastor and church family. He devoted his time discipling in his home for those who chose to follow Christ. He supported missionaries in every way. He trusted Jesus, and accepted GOD and his beliefs, as well as the Bible. He said “The Bible tells us to do what is right, and I trust doing the right thing is the best thing for me to do”. He trusted GOD that He will guide you to do what is best.
