Creating Transformational Healing Experiences for Those Touched by Death and COVID-19.
Let’s face it, we are living in a changing world. The norovirus COVID-19 Pandemic has changed our lives drastically. Families are isolated at home, children are home and not able to go to school and be with their friends. Many families drop a loved one off at the hospital or skilled nursing facility, and then they were never able to enter their room or be by the bedside of their loved one and say their goodbyes when their loved one passes away. In addition the newly imposed COVID-19 restrictions relating to social distancing and now that public funerals that have been part of the traditional grieving process, are history or postponed for an indefinite period of time, grief experts tell us that this is bringing a new and unprecedented new type of grief. Reflecting on Memories is dedicated to helping families keep connected during this pandemic in 2022. Studies show that more families are connected, the faster they heal.
The good news is that Reflecting on Memories and the DesmondDossFoundation.org are working together to bring families together during this time and have resources to help you heal from your loss whether it was a trauma, natural death on hospice or COVID-19. No matter the cause of death, the staff members of Reflecting On Memories and the Desmond Doss Foundation are here to help give you a beautiful memorial website for your loved one and help you and your family share those memories of a life well lived and well loved. The Desmond Doss Foundation is currently working on resources for helping children who have suffered the loss of a family member to heal as well.
Only those memories that are shared are the memories that will last. We hope that this website and other bereavement resources as our Interactive Grief Videos and our 366-Daily emails, will bring healing to you and your family as we go through this time together and we pray that as you share your memories, upload photos, movies, or build your family tree, your tears will turn to smiles. You or your family member can be the administrator of the memorial website and it can be made public or private.
