Sidney Corbett Foyston Sid Foyston, 97, was born in Cordova, Alaska on June 1, 1918 to Mariana and Charles Foyston. He passed away in Palm Springs, California on November 18, 2015. Sid graduated from West Seattle High School and was a ship builder during WW II. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for 76 years. Sid married Marilyn (Nourse) Foyston in 1940, they celebrated their 75th anniversary last June. Sid was very active and enjoyed fishing, swimming, water skiing, surf boarding, tennis and golf. Sid is survived by his wife, Marilyn, son Dr. Fredrick Foyston of Redondo, Washington, daughter Fiona Buzzard of Palm Springs, 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Celebration of Life Services will be held Tuesday, December 15th at the Palm Springs Brookdale Assisted Living in the Aspen Lobby. They are scheduled to be at 10:30AM and there will be a special memorial tribute DVD shown as well.
