Barbara Nicolini

Barbara Kay (Miner) Nicolini, 76, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2023, in Laguna Hills, California. She was born on September 5, 1946, to the late Hollis and Helen (Withrow) Miner in Hillsdale, Michigan, the youngest of three. Barb lived in Michigan after graduating from West Branch High School and then relocated to Florida where she lived until 2021, when she moved to be with her daughter, Shavonne (Sergeant) Gage in California. Barb was a beloved wife, manager, and homemaker. She touched the lives of many through her generosity, contributions, and passion for life, leaving a lasting impact on the community and those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Barb’s true joy in life came from her role as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She shared a full life with her husband, Robert (Bob) Nicolini, to whom she was married for 41 years, and together they created a loving home for their four children. Shavonne (Kevin), Stephanie, Robert (Marci), and Ryan (Jillian) were blessed to have a mom who not only was a best friend but also instilled in them the values of hard work, good fun, and unconditional love. Barb’s legacy extends to her grandchildren, Miranda (David), Serena, and Helen as well as great-grandsons, Maverick and Wesson, she will always be remembered as Grama Smiley for her warm smile, big heart, and endless love. She took great delight in every moment she spent with them. Also, leaving behind her four-legged friend, Harley. She was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Hollis and Donald, sister-in-law Mary and her beloved husband Robert. Through the joys and challenges of life, they and their families stood by each other’s sides, offering support and love. Her many cousins, nieces and nephews held important places in her life as well! Barbara will be remembered for her creative interests, love for the beach, and riding Harley Davidson’s with her hubby. They were members of the Eagle Riders Club and enjoyed giving back to others. She will be greatly missed by her friends and loved ones. At her request, cremation has taken place. In lieu of a memorial, the family kindly requests donations be made to the West Branch Alumni Association or the Orioles Forever in memory of Barbara Kay (Miner) Nicolini. The family would like to express their gratitude for the support and condolences received during this difficult time.
